It's almost been one year since my last post! I now have more time on my hands so hopefully I can spend some of that time keeping everyone updated on the McKinney Family. For those of you that don't know... We are now living on the East Coast. Zakk is working on Capitol Hill for Senator Risch. He has now been working there for three days and is loving every second of it. He will be working for the Senator until August. After August we are still unsure where we will be heading. I'm not gonna lie I was nervous to move out here, but we have been so blessed since we've arrived. It is so amazing to see how our Heavenly Father places people right in our path. Last Friday we rode the metro into DC and went to the Senate building to see the office where Zakk is working.We had no idea where we were or what to do. As we were standing starring a map, this random man walked up to us and commented on how cute Bela is, Zakk then asked him for directions and we got talking. Well come to find out he is apart of the churches CES program in the area, grew up in Idaho Falls, and served a mission with President Evanson! I nearly kissed the man I was so relieved. Later that evening we were in the lobby of our apartment building, using the internet to find the closest church building when a Hispanic woman commented on how pretty Bela was. We got to talking to her and she mentioned that she was a member of the church as well and helped us figure out where and when we should go to church. Thank goodness we have a such an adorable daughter that everyone is so compelled to talk with us.
